Kremlin: Russian diamond makers aware of all risks

RIYADH, Dec 7 (PRIME) -- Sanctions on Russian diamonds have been discussed for many months, which is why the industry is aware of all risks, presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Thursday.

"Sanctions on diamonds are no news. They have been discussed in quite a detail for many months, this is why our companies working in the sector are clearly aware of the risks facing them and are obviously trying to hedge the risks. This is why this is no news," Peskov said.

The official separately said that Russia will continue investment cooperation with the countries of the Middle East but declined to elaborate.

"For the reasons that are clear to you, details of these issues are of a commercial nature. Besides, a large number of enemies will inevitably try to exert pressure," he said.
